Jack Purchase returns to the Tigers for NBL1 2026!

We’re thrilled to announce that Jack Purchase is returning to the Melbourne Tigers for the 2026 NBL1 season.

Purchase is coming off a massive 2025 campaign where he averaged 21.1 points, 7.2 rebounds and 3.2 assists, earning himself NBL1 South All-Star Five Second Team honours. His elite shooting, size, and basketball IQ made him one of the most impactful players in the league.

Jack’s dominant run over the past few seasons was instrumental in securing his NBL roster spot with the Brisbane Bullets, a testament to his continued growth and professionalism.

Jack is confident in the team for the upcoming season, “Very excited to be back with the Tigers for the upcoming season! Looking forward to getting back to Melbourne and building on the success we had last season.”

In 2025, he delivered one of the great individual performances in NBL1 history, breaking the league record with 55 points against Eltham in Round 5. And when the moment mattered most, he delivered again, burying the game-winning three over Knox, sending the Melbourne Tigers community into chaos and propelling the team into the first Grand Final appearance.

“The love we felt from the Tiger’s community during our run was amazing and I can’t wait to play in front of our Tigers family again at MSAC. Andrew, Jay, Nick and Bec are building a great team so I’m really looking forward to seeing what we can all do together next season. Go Tiges!”

A proven leader, big-moment performer, and cornerstone of the club’s identity, Jack’s return sets the tone for another massive season.
