Rachel Brewster signs with the Tigers for NBL1 2026!

The Melbourne Tigers are thrilled to announce that Rachel Brewster is re-joining the club for the 2026 NBL1 South season.

Rachel returns to the Melbourne Tigers after several years away, reconnecting with the club where she spent five seasons in our junior program. Reflecting on her time as a Junior Tiger, Rachel said the pathway “played a significant role in my development as a player and really solidified my love for the game. I was fortunate enough to be a part of some successful teams, had great coaches and my teammates were like family.”

After developing through the Junior Tigers system, Rachel built an impressive résumé across Australia and abroad. Rachel starred at Utah State University, where she became one of only two players in program history to record over 1,200 points and 500 rebounds, and later gained valuable experience in the WNBL with the Melbourne Boomers.

She spent the past five NBL1 seasons with Nunawading, becoming a key piece of the Spectres lineup as a sharpshooter, averaging 12.3 points and 4.9 rebounds last season.

Rachel expressed her excitement about returning to the Tigers:

“It’s been great to see how the club has evolved over the last few years and I’m really excited to come back and hopefully enjoy some more success.”

Welcome back, Rachel!
