Hannah Giddey re-signs at the Tigers for NBL1 2026!

The Melbourne Tigers are excited to announce that Hannah Giddey has re-signed for the 2026 NBL1 South season.

A proud product of the Tigers junior pathway, Hannah continues the Giddey family legacy at the club, following in the footsteps of her parents, Warrick and Kim, both former Melbourne Tigers players in the NBL and WNBL respectively. Having represented the Tigers from juniors through to NBL1, Hannah’s journey reflects her deep connection to the club and her commitment to carrying on the family name with pride.

In the 2025 NBL1 season, Hannah made her mark as a versatile forward, joining the team late in the season, averaging 2.9 points and 1.9 rebounds in 8 games, highlighted by a standout performance against Diamond Valley with 18 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists on 9/10 shooting. With a strong defensive presence, and ability to impact the game on both ends of the floor, Hannah continues to grow as an integral part of the Tigers’ future.

Before returning to the Tigers last season, Hannah finished her college career at Southern Nazarene University in the United States, where she averaged 14.5 points, 9.3 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 3.0 blocks per game in the three seasons she was there.

Hannah has shared her excitement in returning to the Tigers saying “I’m super excited to be returning to my home club. I think we have a great bunch of girls, and I can’t wait to play with everyone & win games!”

Welcome back Hannah!
