Leila Davis re-signs at the Tigers for NBL1 2026!

The Melbourne Tigers are excited to announce that Leila Davis has re-signed for the 2026 NBL1 season.

A proud Tigers junior, Leila has come through our junior pathway and through dedication and passion, has worked her way into the senior program.

In the 2025 NBL1 season, Leila made her mark as a Development Player, averaging 3.13 points, 1.3 assists, and 3.13 rebounds, with standout performances against Casey (10pts, 7reb, 2ast) and Sandringham (11pts, 3reb). Known for her ability to knock down the three, get to the ring with ease and relentless defence, Leila brings an energy to the court that is unmatched.

Leila also co-captained our Big V Youth Championship Women’s team last season, averaging 15.55 points, 9.50 rebounds, and 2.32 assists, leading the team to the semi-final which unfortunately didn’t go our way.

Currently spending time in the United States preparing for the upcoming NCAA season with University of Texas–Tyler (Division II, Lone Star Conference), we are excited to welcome Leila back to the Tigers family early next year!

Leila has shared her excitement for next season, “Super excited to be running it back with the Tiges once again – can’t wait to be with the group and win games!”

Welcome home, Leila!
