1 in 5: Tigers Highlight Mental Health Round with Special Jerseys

The Rookie Me Melbourne Tigers are proud to introduce a new initiative this year as part of the NBL1 Mental Health Round.

For this round, our Mental Health Champions — Eve Braslis from the NBL1 Women’s team and Jack Purchase from the NBL1 Men’s team — will wear specially designed jerseys featuring a distinctive Headspace green number 15, displayed as “1/5.” This number represents the significant statistic that 1 in 5 Australians will experience a mental health challenge during their lifetime.

Only Eve and Jack will wear these unique jerseys on game day, creating a visible reminder of the importance of mental health. Our goal is to prompt questions and conversations among fans and the wider community, helping to break down stigma and encourage open conversations around mental health issues.

The Melbourne Tigers are proud to support this initiative and invite our community to join us in recognising the importance of mental health.

Join us Friday, July 18th at MSAC Arena for our final home game of the season as we take on the Casey Cavaliers in NBL1 Mental Health Round.
