TOM WILSON RE-SIGNS FOR 2025!

The Rookie Me Melbourne Tigers are proud to announce the re-signing of Tom Wilson for the upcoming NBL1 South season!

After an impressive return to basketball last season, Tom established himself as one of the premier players in the league, averaging a dominant 19 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists per game. His high-level IQ, scoring ability, and leadership have made him a cornerstone of our team.

Tom’s journey from Melbourne Tigers junior to international basketball success and professional AFL athlete has shaped him into the exceptional player he is today. His ability to create opportunities for himself and his teammates, combined with elite scoring efficiency both inside the paint and beyond the arc, makes him one of the toughest match ups in the competition.

Head Coach Andrew Gaze is excited to see what’s next:
“Tom Wilson showed last season that he is one of the premiere players in the NBL1.  Despite having missed the previous 4 years due to his decision to play AFL with the Collingwood Football Club, it didn’t take Tom long to get back to the form that saw him represent Australia with the Boomers. Tom is another product of the Melbourne Tigers junior program, and we are delighted to have him return to the club for another season in the NBL1.”

Tom on returning for 2025:
“I’m pumped to be back with the Tigers again this season, it means a lot to me that I can keep going at the place where I grew up playing. We have a great group of guys who all enjoy each other’s company, and I’m looking forward to the season ahead!”

With Tom Wilson leading the charge, the Melbourne Tigers are ready to make waves in 2025.
