Hannah Giddey Re-Signs with Melbourne Tigers for 2025 NBL1 South Season!

The Melbourne Tigers are thrilled to announce that Hannah Giddey will return to the team for the 2025 NBL1 South season. Continuing the proud Giddey family legacy, Hannah follows in the footsteps of her father Warrick, a two-time NBL champion, and her mother Kim, a respected WNBL player.

Currently finishing her final year at Southern Nazarene University, Hannah has cemented herself as one of the premier forwards in the college game, averaging an impressive 18 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 3 blocks per game. Known for her high basketball IQ and defensive instincts, Hannah is a dominant shot-blocker and a versatile forward who can impact the game on both ends of the floor.

Melbourne Tigers Head Coach Kaleb Sclater expressed his excitement about Hannah’s return to the Tigers lineup: “Hannah gave me a call and said she was keen to come back which I was stoked. She is a great person the girls love having her around and she’s a great talent and a key piece of our team’s future. She finished last season off well and I’m looking forward to seeing her take more strides next season. We’re thrilled to see her continue the family legacy with our club.”

Hannah’s signing strengthens the Tigers’ roster as they aim to build on their strong performances from previous seasons. Reflecting on her return to Melbourne, Hannah shared her enthusiasm: “I am super excited to be playing for my home club under and under Kaleb again. He has put together a really solid group, and I can’t wait to see how far we can go. I’m looking forward to meeting all the new girls & see familiar faces again in 2025”

The Tigers family is excited to welcome Hannah back and looks forward to seeing her growth and leadership in the 2025 season.
