Melbourne Tigers Sign Genna Ogier for the 2025 NBL1 South Season!

The Melbourne Tigers are excited to announce the signing of Genna Ogier for the 2025 NBL1 South season. Standing at 6’1, Ogier brings defensive intensity, rebounding prowess, and a versatile offensive skill set to the Tigers’ roster. Her length and athleticism make her a disruptive presence on defence and a relentless force on the boards.

Genna had a strong collegiate career at Fresno State, where she honed her skills against good competition in the Mountain West conference. Most recently, she played for the Diamond Valley Eagles in the NBL1 South before an injury interrupted her 2022 campaign. Now fully recovered and ready to make her mark, Genna is eager to contribute to the Tigers’ push for success.

Melbourne Tigers Head Coach Kaleb shared his excitement about the addition of Ogier to the team: “Genna came along last year and helped us with training numbers while she was coming back from injury and what stood out to me was how she just embraced everything and fitted in seamlessly with our culture, she’s a great person and an athletic player who will bring an edge to our defensive efforts and will really help us become a better rebounding team. She’s worked hard to come back stronger after her injury, and I’m excited to see her back playing in a Tigers uniform. Genna’s combination of length, athleticism, and versatility makes her a perfect fit for our system.”

Reflecting on joining the Tigers, Genna expressed her enthusiasm: “I’m so excited to be joining the Melbourne Tigers NBL1 Women’s team.  I’m really looking forward to being part of such a great group of girls and staff, I can’t wait the for the 2025 season to come around”.

Genna’s arrival strengthens an already competitive Tigers roster as the team aims to build on their momentum heading into 2025. Genna joins Sara Blicavs, Ella Tofaeono, and Indi Bowyer as new recruits for the Tigers in 2025.
