Leila Davis, Tayli Dimarco, and Josie Agnew Sign as Development Players for Melbourne Tigers NBL1 Women’s Team!

The Melbourne Tigers are thrilled to announce the signing of Leila Davis, Tayli Dimarco, and Josie Agnew as development players for the 2025 NBL1 Women’s season. This marks a significant step forward in the careers of these young athletes, all of whom have shown exceptional promise in their development through the Tigers’ junior program.

Leila Davis and Josie Agnew, both lifelong Tigers, have been with the club since the U12’s, showcasing remarkable dedication and growth throughout their journey. Josie, known for her lightning speed and dynamic scoring ability from both the three-point line and mid-range, has developed into a lethal offensive threat. She, along with Tayli Dimarco, graduated from the Tigers’ U18 national champion team, where their combined talents played a crucial role in securing the title.

Tayli, who joined the junior club in 2024, quickly established herself as one of the best defenders for her age in the country. Her intensity on the court, defensive prowess, and relentless work ethic make her a valuable asset as she steps up to the senior level.

Leila has also proven herself as a leader, captaining the Tigers’ Youth League team that reached the grand final in 2024. Leila played a handful of games for the NBL1 Women’s’ team in 2024 and always plays above her size.

Melbourne Tigers head coach Kaleb Sclater commented, “We’re incredibly proud of Leila, Tayli, and Josie. Their development through our junior system is a testament to their hard work and the strength of our program. Tayli and Josie were a great back court duo for our U18’s and they complement each other’s skill sets well; I see them doing it for many years for us. Leila is a pleasure to coach, she will always take on any task for the team, last year when she played NBL1 she would be asked to guard post players, play the post or play as a guard and she gives her all. I’m excited to see their continued development.”

With these signings, the Melbourne Tigers continue to build a strong future, reinforcing their commitment to developing young talent from within their ranks. The 2025 NBL1 season is shaping up to be an exciting one for the club, with these three rising stars poised to make an impact.
