George Blagojevic joins the Tigers for NBL1 2026!

The Melbourne Tigers are excited to announce the signing of George Blagojevic for the 2026 NBL1 South season.

A proven performer in the NBL1 South competition, George spent last season with Geelong United, where he averaged 11.8 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 3.2 assists, showcasing his versatility and consistency on both ends of the floor.

George’s basketball journey includes an impressive collegiate career at the University of Hartford, where he finished with 1,032 points and 578 rebounds, earning a place on the Second Team All-America East. His ability to score inside, rebound at a high level, and facilitate from the post made him a standout in the conference.

He also carries valuable NBL experience, having played with the Cairns Taipans in 2019 and 2021, further strengthening his credentials as an elite, experienced forward capable of impacting the game.

George has expressed his enthusiasm on joining the Tigers: “I’m really excited to be joining the team. A few of the boys and I go way back, so it’ll be great to be back on the court together and build something special. I’m looking forward to contributing, competing hard, and enjoying the season with a great group.”
