Rising Star Wilson Amos re-signs with the Melbourne Tigers!

The Rookie Me Melbourne Tigers welcome back Wilson Amos for the 2025 NBL1 season!

Wilson’s 2024 campaign was cut short due to a wrist injury early in the season, but that didn’t stop him from making a huge impact. He led the Tigers Big V Youth League Men to a top 4 finish and earned a spot in the Victorian Youth Championship Men 2024 All-Star 5 at the Big V awards.

Late last year, Wilson showcased his talent on the international stage, leading the Tigers in a hard-fought battle against Indonesian powerhouse Pelita Jaya, dropping a team-high 28 points alongside 3 assists, and 3 steals.

Head coach Andrew Gaze is excited about the flexibility Wilson will provide to the team.

“We were expecting Wilson to have a significant role with the team last year, but he missed most of the season with a wrist injury.  One of the strengths to Wilson’s game is his versatility and we expect Wilson to play multiple positions this season and have an impact and both ends of the floor”.

Wilson commented on his re-signing and is excited to get after the ultimate goal.

“It’s great to be a part of the Melbourne Tigers Club, playing alongside top players and coaches in a fantastic team culture. Keen to get after the Championship with the lads.”

Now back at full strength, Wilson is ready to make his mark in NBL1!
