Melbourne Tigers to Host Pelita Jaya in Free Exhibition Match

Tigers fans, mark your calendars! The Rookie Me Melbourne Tigers Men will take on Pelita Jaya, the reigning champions of the Indonesian Basketball League (IBL), in an exciting and free exhibition match on Saturday, December 21st, at 2:00 PM AEDT.

Pelita Jaya, fresh off their victorious 2024 IBL season and IBL All Indonesian Cup triumph, are heading to Australia for an exclusive two-week tour. During this visit, they will face four select NBL1 South teams: Waverley Falcons, Keilor Thunder, Eltham Wildcats, and Melbourne Tigers.

All matches will be streamed live and free on the NBL1 website and NBL1 App, making it easy for fans to follow the action.

NBL1 General Manager, Dean Anglin, expressed his excitement for the tour:
“We thank Pelita Jaya for making the journey to Australia to go up against NBL1 teams in what will be some exciting pre-season games. These games provide a tremendous opportunity for the four NBL1 clubs to face a superstar international side to test where they’re at in the early stages of the pre-season.
