Jack Purchase re-signs with Melbourne Tigers for 2025 NBL1 South Season

The Rookie Me Melbourne Tigers are excited to announce the re-signing of Jack Purchase for the 2025 NBL1 South season. Purchase, a standout talent, returns to the Tigers after an incredible run with the Hyderabad Falcons in the Indian National Basketball League (INBL), where he was named MVP in the inaugural season. Averaging 19 points, 4 assists, and 9 rebounds per game, he led the Falcons to the semi-finals, showcasing his scoring ability, and leadership on the floor. Purchase’s ability to impact the game at both ends will be a significant asset for the Tigers in 2025.

Last season, Purchase posted solid numbers in the NBL1 South, averaging 16 points, 4 assists, and 6 rebounds per game. He also had standout performances, including 27, 29, and 30-point games, highlighting his offensive firepower.

Men’s Assistant Coach Jay Lomer is excited for the return of Jack. “After an injury interrupted season last year Jack has put together a fantastic preseason showing his 2023 MVP  level of playmaking and on court leadership. We’re looking to Jack to once again lead the way with our young group and the professionalism he brings certainly sets the standards for our team. As a coaching staff it’s always exciting and rewarding working with the caliber of player that Jack is.”

With his wealth of experience and ability for delivering in clutch moments, Jack will be a key player for the Tigers as they aim for a successful campaign in the 2025 season beginning March 30th at home against the Sandringham Sabres.
