Tylah Hooper re-signs for NBL1 2026!

The Melbourne Tigers are thrilled to announce that Tylah Hooper has re-signed for the 2026 NBL1 South season.

Tylah has been with the Tigers since her junior days, consistently showcasing her individual skill, determination, and commitment as she has worked her way through the program into a leading role in the Big V Youth Championship Women’s team and into the NBL1 program.

In the 2025 NBL1 season, Tylah continued to impress as a scoring option off the bench, averaging 4.95 points, 0.85 assists, and 1.45 rebounds per game, highlighted by an 18-points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists performance against Diamond Valley. Known for her agility, court vision, and ability to change the tempo of a game, Tylah remains a key contributor to the Tigers’ roster.

Tylah’s talent has also been recognised on the international stage, being selected for the New Zealand Tall Ferns earlier this year at the Trans-Tasman Showdown against the Australian Opals.

Tylah shared her excitement for the upcoming season. “I’m super excited to be re-signing with the Melbourne Tigers for the 2026 season! This club has been my home for over 12 years, and my loyalty and love for it have only grown stronger every year. It means so much to keep representing the Tigers alongside some of my closest friends — people I’ve grown up with and shared countless memories on and off the court. I can’t wait get out there this season and play along slide this club, coaches and girls. Go Tigs🐯”
