VJBL Competition Restructure: Regional League Introduced for 2026

Basketball Victoria has announced a major competition restructure for the Victorian Junior Basketball League (VJBL), beginning in 2026, with the introduction of the Regional League (RL). This new format replaces the former RDL competition and creates a clearer three-tier pathway for junior players:

  1. Victorian Championship (VC) – Elite state-level competition.
  2. Victorian Junior League (VJL) – Graded divisions.
  3. Regional League (RL) – Competition organised into geographical pools to reduce travel.
